Inpatient healthcare delivery relies on adequate nursing staffing. New reimbursement systems, developed and under development in other states should be reviewed and determined if those new systems are feasible for Maryland's reimbursement system. traumapatient.JPG

The MNC will support Legislation that seeks to protect and provide quality healthcare and promote healthy lifestyles to all vulnerable groups in our state, especially children and disabled individuals. Having preventative healthcare and urgent care for all Marylanders is cost-effective for tax-payers.

Medicaid is a vital program that is often subject to state funding deficits. However, Medicaid is a safety net for those groups and must be fully funded so these groups can receive adequate healthcare, including dental health care. Michelle Lane, MS, RN, CCRN is pictured next to Senate President Mike Miller and House of Delegates Speaker Michael Busch, discussing healthcare and nursing issues in Annapolis.
